1 oz of beautiful and soft natural white Wensleydale shearling locks. Shearling locks are the sheep's first clipping, have longer staple lengths, and are softer than any future shearing.
These locks are approximately 11 inches/29cm long. They have been delicately processed and hand washed by me with wool-specific soap to keep lock formation. As a result of hand processing, some vegetable matter might still be present.
This fibre bundle would be an excellent addition to your spinning, for art yarn or "regular" yarn after combed. It would also make great doll hair - for rerooting, for Waldorf, Blythe or Fantasy dolls, the only limit is your imagination.
Wensleydale sheep are a Rare Breed, as classified by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust of the UK. This fleece in particular came from a sheep called Bright Eyes in a small family farm in England.
I am still processing this fleece - if you require more fibre than what I currently have available please contact me and I can have more ready more for you.
