1 oz of beautiful hand dyed Wensleydale shearling locks. Shearling locks are the sheep's first clipping, have longer staple lengths, and are softer than any future shearing.
These locks are approximately 11 inches/29cm long. They have been dyed deep blood red on the top, and then transition to a lighter red and finally to a lovely reddish pink at the tips.
They would make great doll hair - for rerooting, for Waldorf, Blythe or Fantasy dolls, the only limit is your imagination.
This fibre would also make fabulous spinning wool, or even for felting.
Wensleydale sheep are a Rare Breed, as classified by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust of the UK. This fleece in particular came from a sheep called Bright Eyes who lives in a small family farm in England. A little amount of vegetable matter might be present.
These locks have been hand dyed by me using professional-grade acid dyes. If you'd like other colours or amounts, please contact me.
Please also note that although colours show true on my end, your monitor settings might differ from mine.
