This wool comes from a sheep reared at a humane charity farm here in the UK, where the animals will live out their natural lives cruelty-free. Because the farm isn't for profit, there's no way of determining what breed this sheep is exactly. However, it's a soft fleece, with a tight crimp and a staple length between 3 to 4 inches (7.5cm - 10cm).
This wool has been washed by me, but hasn't been otherwise processed yet - this means it still has vegetable matter (VM), and retains its lock formation for the most part. You could use it to spin as is (letting the VM fall as you do), or use it to practice your combing/carding techniques.
The fibre is also great for wet felting and you would get very interesting textures by taking advantage of the locks in their natural state. It's also an easy needle felting wool, wonderful as core wool.
